A pair of surface transducers turns these glass panels into speakers. Everything is suspended from a bent steel frame.
I built these speakers as a gift. The glass panes were cut from scrap at a local glass shop. The frames are steel bar stock, bent at an angle. I made some steel brackets to hang the glass from the frames, with foam weatherstripping as a cushion in between to let the glass vibrate. The surface transducers are attached to the center of the pane.
The sound quality is only okay. They are decent in the mids and highs, but bass is definitely lacking.
